Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) is a prominent institution of higher education located in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. Goals and Objectives of TSMU Local Chapter Towards GIMSOC:

  • Promote Inclusivity and Diversity: Create an inclusive environment within our university’s medical student community by embracing diversity and ensuring that all students feel represented and valued.
  • Enhance Transparency and Communication: Strive for transparency in our chapter’s activities, decision-making processes, and governance to foster trust and engagement among our members.
  • Facilitate Interaction and Collaboration: Organize events and activities that encourage meaningful interactions between medical students and professionals within our university and across Georgia, fostering opportunities for networking and collaborative projects.
  • Empower Personal and Professional Growth: Develop educational and extracurricular programs that support the personal and professional development of our members, equipping them with essential skills for their future medical practice.
  • Forge Partnerships with Other University Chapters: Establish strong collaborations with other GIMSOC chapters in Georgia to collectively address common challenges, share best practices, and work on impactful initiatives.
  • Promote Medical Education and Research: Organize seminars, workshops, and symposia to promote medical education, training, and research activities among medical students at our university.
  • Organize Educational Events: Conduct lectures, OSCE training series, and workshops to enhance medical students’ knowledge and skills in various medical fields.
  • Support Global Standards in Medical Education: Collaborate with our university’s administration to complement the existing curriculum and contribute to achieving international standards of medical education.
  • Encourage Active Participation: Motivate and engage our members to actively participate in GIMSOC activities and take on leadership roles within the chapter.
