SPECIAL TALK WITH DR JASMINA
On May 24th, a special talk called “Dr. Jasmina’s Webinar” took place on MedAll, an online platform for meetings and conferences. The speaker for the event was Dr. Jasmina Dedic-Hagan, a specialist GP doctor, who is board-certified in lifestyle medicine.
During the webinar, Dr. Jasmina shared her remarkable journey and experiences while training medics on the frontline in Ukraine. Her involvement with Medics4Ukraine demonstrates her dedication to supporting and mentoring medical professionals in challenging environments.
Throughout the talk, Dr. Jasmina recounted her efforts in providing medical aid and care in a warzone, saving lives, and offering solace to many patients. This would have shed light on the difficulties and challenges faced by medical practitioners working in conflict zones, highlighting the importance of resilience and adaptability in such situations.
FROM IDEA TO PUBLICATION: MASTERING THE BASICS OF RESEARCH
On May 29th, a webinar titled “From idea to publication: Mastering the basics of research” was conducted by Dr. Agha Syed Ali Haider Naqvi. Dr. Naqvi is a research mentor, the founder of BRC and also the founder and former president of FSRS. He has an impressive track record of publishing over 20+ research papers, showcasing his expertise and experience in the field of research.
The webinar took place online and was accessible to a wide audience due to its virtual format. The event was organized in collaboration with DTMU (David Tvildiani Medical University) and IBRA (International Biomedical Research Community), two institutions that share an interest in promoting and advancing research in the medical field.
The main aim of the webinar was to enhance students’ research skills and provide direction to medical students interested in pursuing research. Research is a critical aspect of medical education and practice, and acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge in this area can greatly benefit students in their academic and professional journey.
