As the former Head of Social Media and Public Relations for my local chapter DTMU of GIMSOC, I bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to elevate our connections within the medical community further. Now as I step into the role of the “Director of Alumni Public Relations and Social Media”, I am thrilled to contribute significantly to this exceptional community once again. As an alumni executive, my responsibilities are centered around orchestrating and creating meaningful connections between alumni and upcoming graduating students, overseeing all the communication efforts, managing social media platforms, assigning tasks, and building strong relations with my peers.
Our vision focuses on executing a series of online webinars. These webinars stand as beacons of knowledge, aiming to illuminate the path of the postgraduate journey for our fellow alumni. They are more than just virtual meetings; they are comprehensive educational platforms designed to empower our alumni with practical knowledge and strategic guidance. We aim to equip our alumni with the skills they need to navigate the intricate world of postgraduate studies and professional growth.
These webinars will go beyond geographical limitations, enabling alumni to access the wealth of knowledge and expertise being shared. By fostering a global network of support, we strive to create a sense of unity and collaboration among alumni pursuing their dreams in different corners of the globe.
The Mentor-Mentee program and the Post-graduation Consultancy Program are two forthcoming initiatives planned by our executive team. These programs are meticulously designed to offer recent graduates indispensable insights and unwavering assistance as they venture into the realm beyond their graduation. Together, our Mentor-Mentee and Post-graduation Consulting Program form a holistic approach to empower recent graduates not just during their academic tenure but also as they transition into the professional realm. The knowledge, connections, and confidence they gain from these initiatives will serve as catalysts for their growth and success, enabling them to forge a fulfilling and impactful journey beyond the confines of university life.
